 When you give help, you give
hope. The story of CARH, Community Assistance For The Retarded
and Handicapped, is a magical story about "the community
of the human spirit". CARH is committed to enhancing the
quality of life for local citizens with mental retardation and
the elderly in placement. Our programs and services are oriented
to our clients who often have needs which are not met by governmental
or other agencies. We service clients in Counties of Alameda,
Contra Costa, and Solano in California. We are always expanding
our programs and services to enrich the lives of our clients.
Above all, we provide important human interaction through various
activities.
The majority of our funds are generated through our household
recycling program. We also depend on corporate donations of food
and gift items which help improve our ongoing events. In addition,
we look to local businesses for donations to help us fulfill
special wishes in our Wish Program.
