About CARH
Leo and Barbara Guidotti, along with other individuals involved in the care of the mentally retarded, founded CARH, a nonprofit organization, in 1972. This was at a time when there were very few programs or services available to parents with mentally retarded children. The Guidotti's soon realized that the elderly in placement could also benefit from CARH's unique activities. With their inclusion, CARH annually serves well over 100,000 special individuals in our community.

Our programs are designed to involve the developmentally disabled in social activities such as dances, picnics, movies, and other group events. We are also interested in the well being of our clients by offering services such as campership tuition for summer camp, general grants for such items as wheelchairs, eyeglasses, and special beds, and our newly added mobile dental hygiene program.
